Ambassador

Orchestras for All is looking for Ambassadors for its 2023-2024 season.

An Ambassador is someone who supports and champions the work of OFA across all programmes. Over the two-year season, an Ambassador will represent the charity and share its good work wherever they can.

The Ambassador role is a progression from being a NOFA member and a professional development opportunity. Ambassadors must have taken part in OFA activities and be aged 18+ to apply. It is also a paid opportunity.

What are the benefits of being an Ambassador?

  • Develop your skills across several key areas

  • Professional development

  • Choose a specialty to focus on

  • Learn and develop in a supportive environment

  • Safeguarding training

  • Other relevant training opportunities

  • Further insight into what OFA does

  • Reference and experience for your C.V.

  • Paid opportunity

How do I apply?

Please complete the application form here by 9AM on Monday 21 November 2022.

If you would prefer to submit your application as an audio or video recording, please send these to us via email to recruitment@orchestrasforall.org (a maximum length of five minutes).

If the file is too large, you can send it via WeTransfer or Dropbox.

Let us know if you have any issues submitting your application and we will support you.

What are the next steps?

If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to interview. Interviews will be on Tuesday 29 November 2022 via Zoom. If you are unable to make this date, please let us know.

All candidates will be contacted by Thursday 8 December 2022 with the outcome.

Volunteers

For every Orchestras for All event, we rely on a team of enthusiastic volunteers to help us run the show. Volunteers are invited to join us for any (or all) of the events during the season and are welcome to get involved in the following ways:

  • Supporting young musicians to learn repertoire during full and sectional rehearsals;

  • Supporting young musicians during improvisation and composition sessions during the regional and national Modulo Meets, and

  • Supporting young musicians during performances.

We are also happy to involve volunteers in behind-the-scenes work of the charity, including pre-event planning, event delivery, impact and evaluation or general arts administration work, such as fundraising, marketing and PR.

If you are interested in being involved with OFA as a volunteer, please contact us at info@orchestrasforall.org or on 0207 267 4141. We’d love to hear from you.

Fair Access Principle

Orchestras for All is proud to have signed the Fair Access Principle - pledging to give fair access to all for all our volunteer, intern and apprentice positions.
