Bass Guitar
Before you watch any videos, take a moment to get set up and ready to play. Create the most comfortable set up you can with your instrument and take a moment to check it’s working ok by playing a few notes that you know.
Bassline A and B
Here is Rocco playing the bassline of the A and B section. You can play this on a bass guitar or on the top four strings of an acoustic or electric guitar. Rocco is playing the core part first, and then an intermediate part and then a more complex version. Try singing or humming the part first. Press pause on the video to give yourself time to practice. Only begin the next level if you are feeling confident to move on.
Task One:
Practice your individual part, always count yourself in, start slowly and focus your attention on where you make any errors.
Task Two:
Practice moving from Section A to Section B and alternating between them.
Task Three:
Practice playing your part with someone else on the same part. You can either alternate between Sections A and B, as the song does – or you can take it in turns to ‘call’ when to change between sections.
Task Four:
Practice playing your part with someone on a different part.
