SUPPORT US

Together, we can make a positive impact through the power of music.

Why we need your support

Orchestras for All relies on the generous support of funders, individual givers and supporters to make our vision of inclusive music-making a reality.

Your contributions help us provide life-changing opportunities for young people facing barriers to music education, enabling them to develop confidence, teamwork and creativity through the power of orchestral music.

From funding our accessible programmes and supporting the purchase of instruments and training for music teachers, every donation plays a vital role in ensuring that no young musician is left behind.

To learn more about what we do and discover the impact of your donations, please read our latest Impact Report.

“NOFA is a second home for me – a second family, a safe space. I can’t recall any moment here that I haven’t enjoyed. I feel respected and heard – and it’s here that I’ve made some of my closest friends.”
— Noah, National Orchestra for All pianist

How you can support us

If you are able, there are several ways you could help Orchestras for All transform the lives of young musicians across the UK:

1. Make a one-off donation

We are extremely grateful to the individual givers who generously donate to Orchestras for All throughout the year – no matter how big or small.

Every little penny helps us make a positive difference to the lives of young musicians across the UK who need our charity’s inclusive programmes the most. To those of you who choose to remain anonymous, please know that your kindness does not go unnoticed.

Please take a moment to give what you can below:

2. Become a regular supporter

Friends are vital to Orchestras for All. Though their continued support, we can plan for the future and make the biggest leaps forward, helping more young musicians across the country than ever before. We'd love to have you on board to help secure our future - community really is at the heart of what we do and who we are.

As a Musician, Section or Orchestra Friend, over 12 months your donations could cover the cost of:

Musician:

£10 a month

Accommodation and food for one musician at a National Orchestra for All course.

Section:

£20 a month

One Orchestral Tutor to lead a section of instruments at a national Modulo Meet.

Orchestra:

£50 a month

Hiring a rehearsal space for one day at the National Orchestra for All summer course.

If you’re able to make an even greater contribution, you might like to consider joining our Baton Circle or Taking a Seat in our orchestra:

THe baton circle:

£100 a month

Members of the Baton Circle form a transformational group of supporters who can make one of the greatest differences to the young people involved with Orchestras for All. It is thanks to your amazing generosity that we can not only continue running our programmes, but also reach further than ever before.

take a seat:

£5000 a year

£5000 supports one young musician’s journey for an entire year, covering everything from food and accommodation to world-class music tuition and the essential work of our dedicated behind the scenes team. Your contribution sustains their growth, creativity, and full participation in the orchestra.

As a regular giver you will receive bespoke communications from our team, access to our donor newsletter, recognition in our programmes and on our website, along with exclusive invitations to Orchestras for All’s exciting line-up of events. But most importantly, you’ll be making a very real, positive impact to the lives of all our young people.

3. Leave a legacy

Music is a precious gift that so many of us share. We often find joy through making music with family and friends, colleagues, other people like us or those from different backgrounds.

At Orchestras for All, we bring that gift to young musicians who currently face significant barriers to music-making and would not otherwise have the opportunity to play in an orchestra.

Being part of an ensemble brings huge benefits: a boost to their self-confidence, independence, improved team working and communication skills as well as progressing their musical abilities.

If you would like to leave your own musical legacy and pass on your love of music to future generations, please consider leaving a donation to Orchestras for All in your Will.

All gifts are very welcome whatever their size, and all donations will go directly towards our work with young musicians throughout the UK.

Modulo has given my students real life experience of playing in a big ensemble and the skills that involves. Today, in a choir rehearsal, a pupil involved in Modulo mentioned leaving silence at the end and feeling the ‘magic in the air’ – something she learnt from conductor Rocco. It seems the lessons they learned have stayed with them.

4. Corporate Partnerships

We work closely with a small number of closely aligned businesses to amplify our work, whilst helping meet business needs and fulfill CSR targets. We take a bespoke approach to each relationship and always view our partnerships as a two-way street.

We collaborate with businesses to provide entertainment, training, staff enrichment, speaking engagements, panelists, and many other types of tailored support.

5. Trusts and foundations

Trusts and foundations play a vital role in helping Orchestras for All deliver impactful and inclusive music-making activities for young people. By providing essential funding, they can enable us to break down barriers to music education, offering transformative experiences for those who might otherwise be excluded due to financial, social or geographic challenges.

Whether it’s support for specific programmes, such as National Orchestra for All or the Modulo Programme, or contributing to core costs that sustain our work, trusts and foundations help us empower the next generation of young people through the life-changing power of music. Together, we can inspire, uplift and create a more inclusive future.

To discuss giving as an organisation with a member of our team, please contact Head of Fundraising, Jack Hartshorn, at jack.hartshorn@orchestrasforall.org.

Finally, thank you…

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to our funders and loyal supporters – without you, our vital work wouldn’t be possible.

A kind-hearted gesture…

We would like to extend our thanks to Nigel at Dorset Pianos, who has kindly set up optional donations to Orchestras for All for his customers when they purchase pianos from his shop.

Nigel said: “To make a cooperative society rather than a competitive society, I believe we should all use our own personal skill-sets to give something free to our communities. Music has been shown to help improve people’s mental quality of life as well as academically.

“Children are just starting out on their life journey and enabling early access to a piano will enrich their lives. We are in a position to source, make good and store pianos for those who otherwise wouldn’t get a chance.”
